Repeating “I love you,” over and over, Nichole snuggles with Bailey in a hospital bed before watching a Dora the Explorer movie, Bailey’s favorite. Bailey is receiving her second round of chemotherapy. The two watch a lot of Dora, because the chemotherapy affects Bailey’s immune system keeping her inside and limiting her contact with people. When Bailey’s white blood cell count is low she wears a surgical mask outside. Visitors must use antibacterial lotion on their hands before touching Bailey and kisses are restricted. |
